Anne Coulter: Hoax or Real?

I'm certain everyone is familiar with the...phenomenon that is Anne Coulter. A woman so offensive that she manages to piss off people within her own party affiliation, to the point that when she backs certain political candidates, they would rather she simply sit back and shut up. But I'm wondering whether she really means everything she says. Is Anne Coulter a hoax, and everything she says and writes is simply for shock value? Or is she for real?
