Form 1065 for LLC p through partnership?

Hi, do I need to file taxes (Form 1065) for an LLC which was formed on Jan 1, 2009 on April 15, 2009? When I applied for EIN, IRS guideline mentions that I have to file Form 1065 only on April 15, 2010 but some one told me that I have to file for this year as well. Can some one please advise? LLC is considered as a p through partnership
